Once I did that, it told me a program was still running and it couldn't continue. I managed to fix it by uninstalling and reinstalling the launcher although the whole process was a royal pain in the a**, a complete nightmare and took about an hr of problem solving.įirst, I was unable to uninstall it from the Windows uninstall app(not in the list) and had to remove it using CCleaner(I use frequently for all my PC maintenance needs, GOOD software). had tried everything, even uninstalled and reinstalled the game as well and still got this error. It was giving me a "cannot find the file specified" error regarding the launcher app. I tried to mod the game to run without the launcher and I messed it all up. I had ran into this problem this morning in fact. So if you got any clues beside formating my System and Installing it completely new I'd be glad to hear about them Oh and I reinstalled the whole game also. But then it also forced me to install it again via steam when I was trying to start CS ending in an prematuerly error. It won't start.Īt some point of trying I also got a file log with an error message which said "The `launcherpath` file does not exists"Īnd also had it registered as installed in the windows program administration. If I check the box that says start running program. Using msiexec it say's it has finished installing directly with no frame beforehand. When using start in cmd instead of msiexec it starts and ends prematuerly. I tried deleting the installer msi and getting a new one by running steam autorepair I tried the whole cmd magic with msiexec c:\\launcher-installer-windows I tried the standard trick with deinstalling and deleting the appdata folders and running steam as admin. The Installation won't finish, but end prematuerly. If I wanna start CS via Steam it forces me to install the launcher. I've got trouble installing the Paradox Launcher v2
